A Lending Hand
This artwork was prepared for an auction to feed the hungry. My daughter had come home from a two-month mission trip in India and one photo inspired me in particular. She was wearing a tribal robe extending her hand to the children. The children were mobbing her! I decided to draw this image for the auction. As I drew the hands coming together, the Holy Spirit whispered to me to portray different children’s faces of the world instead of the Indian children.
When I was at the banquet, the head speaker gave a speech about all of us lending a hand to all the people of the world. Essentially, his speech was my drawing and visa versa. He was writing his speech at the same time I was drawing. We were in two different cities! The Holy Spirit sure gets around!
