Gently She Carries Him

 This image of the Blessed Mother and Baby Jesus came to me on September 8, 2005, which is the day many celebrate the birthday of the Blessed Mother (I realized later). Her gentleness and humility is captured as she bows over the Infant Jesus. Gently She carries Him in her arms.

This inspiration was used at a gathering in a home for one of my live chalk drawings. A group of ladies came together to support my journey to Nigeria where God used my art to raise money for a school in a small village in Africa. Saying, ”Yes” to God allowed great things to happen! Through our obedience to God, He does great things for us!

I cannot imagine how Mary felt to be chosen to carry His Son. The Blessed Mother must have been in awe of the precious gift she held gently in her arms.
